About us

GREAN Palestine is essentially a funding mechanism to support small-scale innovation with sustainable technologies that facilitates farmers and rural communities in resisting displacement by Israeli occupation forces and settlers.
Unfortunately, 60% of the land area of the Palestinian West Bank (where the majority of Palestinian farming takes place) remains under total Israeli control, and is being rapidly colonised by Israeli settlers in direct contravention of international law. This land is known as 'Area C'.
There is an ongoing effort to 'cleanse' Area C of its Palestinian inhabitants: displacing them into ghettoized towns and cities surrounded by high concrete walls and 'security' fences; and simultaneously undermining Palestinian food security. This constitutes and major element of Israel's control mechanism for the occupied Palestinian population
