About us

Founded in July 2005, Lead Tchad is a non-political, non-profit association initiated by young Chadian leaders who wish to make their skills and experience available to their country in order to contribute to the implementation of sustainable and socially equitable economic development in a sustainable environment. Lead Tchad is currently involved in a major project to improve school enrolment rates for girls, as well as a USAID-funded project to support local peace initiatives. Lead Tchad is affiliated to three main networks, namely the GEF NGO Network and others. Today, Lead Tchad is one of the most dynamic, credible and enterprising associations. It is the first association designated to teach leadership for the environment and sustainable development, in the same way as other Lead programs around the world.

Its activities focus on capacity building in the field of leadership for the environment and sustainable development. In addition, the Lead Afrique francophone program aims to create a critical mass of leaders in Africa capable of influencing the policies and strategies of the institutions to which they belong. To this end, it implements innovative training approaches such as the "mentorship" program from which 27 young Chadians have benefited, which consists of making the most of the compass provided by enriching life experience with a high degree of credibility in the international community. Lead Afrique Francophone aims to encourage young leaders to adopt the values and ideals of these role models.
