About us
The Ecological Conservation Citizens' Group dreams of a world where people and nature are in harmony. It is a grassroots organization focusing on urban ecosystem conservation and ecological education. River and wetland protection. Rivers and wetlands are habitats for various animals and plants, and their biodiversity is 20 times higher than that of general forests. It also absorbs carbon dioxide, the main culprit of greenhouse gas, and adjusts the ambient temperature to alleviate the urban heat island effect. For this reason, the disappearance of wetlands, the shield of global warming, is a very serious problem. Urban wetlands and rivers are being reclaimed or replaced with concrete, threatening the conservation and development of ecosystems. A large area of rivers and wetlands are destroyed every year due to anthropogenic factors, but the legal mechanism to systematically block wetland damage is very weak. Eco-education. Ecological education is 'education to develop specific practical abilities that enable people, nature, or the environment to harmonize and coexist' The purpose of eco-education is to feel the phenomena occurring in the forest through the five senses in addition to the knowledge of the ecosystem and to practice it in real life. It helps to understand nature, to learn the right understanding of life and the dignity of life, and to develop a positive personality. Urban ecosystems are gradually disappearing from our side due to climate change and urban development. Field-oriented ecological education is an experience-oriented education that requires creative learning according to the age of the target, and the open education method of activists is important. Educational activities that lead to practice by comparing the experience with one's own life are necessary, and the vivid memories and creativity obtained from the ecological experience can help the forest and people to live together.
