The Taiwan Society for the Study of the Animal Society (TSSAS) is a non-profit, non-government organization founded in 1999 with the aim of promoting "harmonious interaction between people, animals and the environment", and its members have been involved in animal protection work in Taiwan for more than twenty-five years. All of our actions are based on long-term in-depth research, surveys and analysis, and we have combined the strengths of relevant professional organizations at home and abroad to gradually promote changes in people's awareness, behavior and public policy through public awareness and opinion, policy pressure, legislative lobbying, education and promotion, etc., in order to create a "harmonious interaction between people, animals and the environment". In addition to promoting the welfare and rights of companion animals economic animals wild animals experimental animals, we have also been involved in a number of environmental issues, and have actively promoted the disclosure of government information and the legalization of civic participation.
