About us
Protecting the very unique, small and special migratory birds - the Common Swifts, who are arriving each Spring to nest in urban eras. They use the gaps and cracks in the walls of the old buildings as nests. The vast renovations and new buildings in the cities using modern building techniques with glass covered walls and marble plates, are no longer suitable for the Swifts and their number is decreasing rapidly. Our activities include: 1. Raising public awareness. 2. Protecting existing nesting sites. 3. Designing, building and installing new nests. 4. Rehabilitation of Swifts, mainly nestlings.
