About us

It was established in 2010. The mission of the Association is to promote environmental protection knowledge, organize environmental protection work and activities, and actively encourage Macao citizens to participate in their respective positions in the goal of harmonious coexistence between human beings and the environment. Under the principle of sustainable development, we will contribute to the social, economic and environmental development of Macau. In addition, we hope to cooperate with the government, organize activities, promote and implement various environmental protection work, adhering to the spirit of uniting green power, "greening the environment, gathering people's hearts", and practicing, so that the environment of Macao can be gradually improved.

As a co-organizer of the Nature Conservation Ambassador Program of the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau of Macau, the Macau Green Volunteers Association has recruited and trained the first group of about 50 volunteers for nature conservation and has assisted in the implementation of a number of hiking excursions, workshops and other diversified promotional activities for the public and tourists in the past year.

Through regular training and the introduction of different elements of practical work, community service, event organizing experience, and nature experience, the Ambassadors will be able to fully equip and perfect themselves both physically and mentally, in the hope that they will become well-rounded nature conservation ambassadors and change the public perception of similar activities in the market as superficial projects. In addition, the Society has organized a number of activities to promote the conservation of nature.

In addition, we have organized several study tours and exchange activities to enhance the understanding of nature conservation and learn from the successful cases and practical experience of ecological conservation in the neighboring regions, which will serve as a reference for Macao and strive to improve our service standard and professional knowledge.

In the future, we will focus on appealing to the public to conserve water, and through the "Water Journey" series of activities, we can strengthen the publicity and promote water conservation, and bring the importance of water conservation to every corner of the community. In the process of helping mountain residents to find water sources, they will understand the importance of giving more than receiving and the importance of water in their lives. The spirit of "Water Saving" will be spread to the people around us.
