About us

The Namibian Wildlife Foundation (NWF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting giraffes, preserving nature, and restoring ecosystems in Namibia. Our mission is to safeguard wildlife and their habitats through sustainable conservation strategies, strong community partnerships, and modern technology.

Giraffe Conservation is at the heart of our work. As a keystone species, giraffes play a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance of Namibia’s savannas — yet they are often overlooked in global conservation efforts. NWF raises awareness, strengthens protection measures, and works to secure the long-term survival of giraffes and the landscapes they depend on.

Beyond wildlife protection, NWF focuses on environmental restoration and anti-desertification initiatives. Through nature-based solutions like reforestation, sustainable land use, and soil regeneration with locally produced plant charcoal, we work to reverse land degradation and store carbon in the ground.

At the same time, NWF actively supports anti-poaching measures in cooperation with private game reserves, local communities, and law enforcement. We aim to protect endangered species and preserve biodiversity for future generations.

Our approach combines local action with global vision. By uniting conservation, education, technology, and international collaboration, the Namibian Wildlife Foundation is building a future where wildlife and people can thrive together.
