About us
Northern Ireland Environment Link (NIEL) is the networking and forum body for organisations interested in the environment of Northern Ireland. It represents 62 Full Members (voluntary organisations) and 50 Associate Members (statutory organisations, companies or individuals). Full Members collectively represent over 2.3 million individuals, employ over 2,300 staff with over 27,500 volunteers and 262 subsidiary groups. NIEL Full Members also have a collective annual turnover of over £60 million and manage over 300,000 acres of land. Members are involved in environmental issues of all types and at all levels from the local community to the global environmen.
