About us

In Nepal, Pragya is working for the sustainable development of the Himalayan region and its vulnerable & marginalised communities, as well as for the conservation of its sensitive ecosystem. We are addressing the critical needs of the least developed districts in the country and its inhabitant communities, with a focus on the three northern Hilly and Mountain geographical regions of the country. Grassroots projects address seven districts across three development regionsin the country. Our research work covers environmental, social, economic and humanitarian concerns and is followed by necessary advocacy and support to other state and non-state actors.
Work in Nepal is delivered in close partnership with carefully selected locally-registered NGOs. Pragya Solutions coordinates the activities implemented with an in-country office in Kathmandu. We also engage in collaborative efforts with research institutions, government, and academia as creative opportunities arise.
