About us

Sustainable Energy Society of Southern Africa (SESSA) is dedicated to the promotion, use and development of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
This includes all solar technologies such as photovoltaics, thermal heating and cooling, concentrated solar power as well as wind, biomass and hydro, to name a few. Other focal points include energy efficiency both through behavioural change and technology intervention as well as passive building design and green transport.
The inter-disciplinary nature of SESSA attracts the membership of industry, scientists, researchers, developers and the general public – the only requirment is a keen interest in renewable energy and energy efficiency and its utilisation to ensure a sustainable energy future.
