About us

The Superior Watershed Partnership and Land Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) is an award winning Great Lakes nonprofit organization that has set national records for pollution prevention and implements innovative, science-based programs that achieves documented, measurable results. The Superior Watershed Partnership implements a variety of conservation and public education projects including:

Great Lakes habitat protection and restoration
Community pollution prevention
Climate change adaptation planning and implementation
Invasive species removal and prevention
Water Quality and Stormwater Management
Native plant restoration
Land Protection
Youth programs and public education
Alternative energy and energy conservation
UP community assistance
The Superior Watersheds Partnership also provides technical, educational, and monitoring assistance on a variety of Great Lakes protection initiatives with emphasis on Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, and Lake Huron. The Superior Watershed Partnership has received numerous state and national awards and has been recognized by Michigan’s Governor Granholm, the US Environmental Protection Agency, Environment Canada and the Lake Superior Bi-national Program as a leader in watershed protection for the Lake Superior Basin and the headwaters region of the Great Lakes ecosystem.
