About us
The Tour du Valat, located in the heart of the Camargue, is a research institute for the conservation of Mediterranean wetlands. It has the legal form of a non-profit foundation, recognized as a public utility since 1978. The Tour du Valat's mission is to ensure the conservation and wise use of Mediterranean wetlands by improving the understanding of their functioning and by mobilizing a community of stakeholders.
