The American Samoa Environmental Protection Agency is a trusted leader and environmental steward that uses innovation, quality service and community engagement to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all Samoans. AS-EPA's goal is to protect the environment and public health by enforcing environmental laws and demonstrating leadership in environmental stewardship. We achieve our goal by developing, implementing and enforcing environmental laws that regulate air, water and soil quality, pesticide use, recycling and waste reduction. Our departments are at the forefront of environmental science, using the latest research to shape the environmental laws of the area.
