About us
Striking a new balance between biomass, energy production, carbon sequestration and long term soil fertility Pyrolysis is a thermochemical decomposition of organic material at elevated temperatures in the absence of oxygen. The word is coined from the Greek-derived pyr “fire” and lysis “separating”. The BC300 separates renewable biomass into a burnable gas and biochar. Biochar is the charcoal residue used for agricultural and horticultural applications. The agricultural use and its stability ensures long-term sequestration of approximately 50% of the carbon contained in the feedstock . The produced gas contains the remaining carbon and is converted to heat and power. This offers a unique opportunity: Carbon negative energy generation! This means that we remove CO2 from the atmosphere with each unit of energy produced.
