About us

Located on George Washington's family land on the Northern Neck of Virginia, Blenheim Organic Gardens is the area's premiere organic produce farm.
Since 2000, Lawrence Latané, a descendant of the Washington family, and his wife Becky have been growing organic vegetables, flowers, fruit, and herbs. Blenheim Organic Gardens is part of Blenheim Farm, which has bred generations of farmers. We sell our beautiful, delicious produce through the Fredericksburg Area CSA, the Fredericksburg Food Co-operative, and our Blenheim Buyer’s Club.
For almost two decades, our farm was USDA-certified organic. In 2020, we switched to Certified Naturally Grown - but while our certification changed, our practices and values have not.
We never use chemicals, genetically modified seeds (GMOs), or harmful additives. We're committed to preserving the health of surrounding wildlife, soil, and water.
We love volunteers! Whether you can come for an afternoon or a whole summer, we'd love to meet you. We have space to pitch a tent or park an RV, and (when available) a small one-room cabin with bunkbeds. Or, if you live nearby, come for an afternoon of harvesting, or planting!
