The sun is a free, environmentally and climate-friendly source of energy that can be harvested and used locally. In Norway, heating makes up a large part of energy use in buildings. Solar collectors convert the energy in the sun's rays directly into heat, which is four times more efficient than going the route of electricity. Solar collectors can be connected to an existing water-borne heating system.
