About us
The linear economic model: extract – manufacture – consume – throw away – is not ecologically sound and consumes a great deal of resources and energy. It is now running out of steam and showing its limitations. That’s why the circular economy, whose goal is to increase the efficiency of resource use and decrease environmental impacts while improving people’s well-being, has become a priority for the Brussels-Capital Region In its common policy statement, the Brussels-Capital Region committed to putting it at the heart of its economic strategy. It intends to gradually direct all its economic support tools towards low-carbon production models, a circular and regenerative economy, social and democratic entrepreneurship and digitalisation of the economy.
