About us

Cisco Systems Inc. is an eco-friendly company that manufactures networking equipment. The company has been involved in many eco projects, such as planting trees and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Cisco also offers an eco-friendly brand of products called “EcoSmart”. These products are made with recycled materials and use less energy than traditional products. Unlike other tech giants Cisco is doing its part to help the environment.
Also, Cisco has signed a strategic letter of intent with Living PlanIT, a leading provider of urban technologies that support smart, green city development and urban operations.
This document provides for the joint development of a new model for the construction of new and renewal of old cities through the accelerated introduction of innovations in the urban economy and public services.
Building on a shared vision of sustainable urbanization, Cisco’s Smart+Connected Communities, and Living PlanIT technology, work will be carried out in the PlanIT Valley, a next-generation smart connected community being built in the municipality of Paredes in northern Portugal within a project of national importance.
