About us

CuanTec is a ground-breaking small company ready to change to world. By looking at how nature uses its own materials, CuanTec scientists have developed a world first chitin-based packaging that not only returns to the earth after use, but can also extend the shelf life of food wrapped within it.

We understand that value can be found in waste.  We actually prefer to use the term “by-products” – what is waste to one industry can be the starting point for another. 

We use by-products from the food industry (specifically the inedible parts of shellfish) to create new packaging materials.
