About us

EcoHabitats Arquitectura i Construcció is a Barcelona-based sustainability-focused construction company with its own in-house architecture studio, offering services throughout Catalonia, Spain. With more than 14-20 years of combined experience (per different pages on its own site), the firm designs and builds sustainable homes, healthy buildings, clinics, and commercial premises, addressing comprehensive apartment and house renovations, building rehabilitation, and new construction from what it describes as a technical, efficient, and conscious approach.

EcoHabitats' renovation work spans full apartment renovations in Barcelona, kitchen and bathroom remodels, farmhouse ('masia') rehabilitation that respects a property's original character while incorporating healthy, non-toxic construction solutions, and building-envelope upgrades intended to improve thermal comfort and long-term energy performance. The company also provides energy performance certificates, building technical inspections (ITE), and habitability certificates as part of a stated '360°' service model that goes beyond construction into real estate management, urban planning, and project management for clients across the region.

EcoHabitats operates its own dedicated engineering and construction team (rather than outsourcing core trades) to deliver projects directly, and applies bioconstruction principles — formaldehyde-free and toxic-free materials, healthy indoor environments — across its clinic, residential, and hotel renovation work alike.
