About us

Ecologia Environmental Solutions Ltd was set up in March 2000, with some capital investment from Ecologia Soluzione Ambiente Spa (an Italian environmental services company). The intention from the outset was to provide consultancy and remediation services in the contaminated land sector that the directors were already involved in.

Ecologia’s growth between 2001 and 2007 was rapid due to our capability to identify a number of key projects and niche markets (e.g. the insurance sector). This allowed Ecologia to grow organically whilst developing a number of novel remediation techniques. The bioremediation project at the Askern Colliery was a key milestone in the Company’s early development. This work resulted in the publication of the first CL:AIRE technical report (TPD12) on biopile technology.
