EAL is working with the Australian Government to deliver certified soil testing to farmers and land managers through the Pilot Soil Monitoring Incentives Program. Due to climatic conditions around the country, including flooding and higher than average rainfall, Southern Cross University (SCU) and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry have agreed to conclude the pilot Soil Monitoring Incentives Program at the end of Tranche 2 (instead of 30 June 2023). Applications are due at close of business on 23 December 2022. All soil sampling under the program must be completed by 28 February 2023. If you are sampling for Emissions Reduction Fund carbon projects please discuss your sampling completion date with SCU as an earlier deadline may apply.
