Transition to Clean Energy EVgo is committed to protecting our environment by making it as easy as possible for drivers to go electric. With more than 850 stations across the country, over 140 million Americans live within 10 miles of an EVgo charger. Together, we’re helping to clean up the air and tackle climate change, one charge at a time. Since 2019, EVgo has been the only EV charging network powered by 100% renewable energy. For every kilowatt-hour (kWh) consumed on our network, EVgo purchases a corresponding kWh Renewable Energy Credit (REC) from an accredited REC supplier. EVgo drivers can be confident that they’re supporting clean energy and helping us tackle climate change with every charge. EVgo has powered more than 280 million electric miles to date — which is more than 11,000 times around the earth! EVgo Drivers Have Reduced the U.S. Carbon Footprint by 114,000 Metric Tons. That's like planting 1.8 million trees! Promoting Sustainable Communities EVgo’s Communities Charging for Change program promotes sustainable communities through public education and expanded access to EV fast charging. In 2019, EVgo opened seven fast charging stations in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Bay Area communities that bear a disproportionate pollution burden. This commitment to underserved communities supports both EV drivers and shared mobility options, helping to make clean transportation accessible to all.
