About us

Flynner Homes Design+Build, based in Boise, Idaho, became in 2016 the first custom home design-and-build company in the world to achieve Certified B Corporation status — a certification the company compares to Fair Trade certification for coffee or USDA Organic certification for milk, in that it verifies rigorous, independently-assessed standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency, administered by the nonprofit B Lab. Flynner states that becoming a Certified B Corporation solidified its mission of promoting sustainable living, environmental stewardship, and social change through high-performance design and construction.

The company's services on existing properties center on renovations and remodels, alongside new custom home construction and boutique commercial work. As a B Corp, Flynner is legally required to expand its corporate responsibilities to formally consider the interests of employees, community, environment, and customers alongside shareholders, joining a global community that, as of its 2016 certification, included more than 9,294 Certified B Corporations across 162 industries and 105 countries, including well-known names such as Patagonia and Ben & Jerry's.
