• Reduce imports of oil and gas by 10% by 2022-23

• Continue to reduce emission intensity of GDP to achieve the intended nationally determined contribution (INDC) target of 2030

Government is striving to combat climate change while sustaining rapid development and providing energy for cities and villages. State and Central Governments have enacted several policies designed to accelerate the installation of renewable (mainly wind and solar) energy projects. This will also create huge employment opportunity.
