About us

Dennis Barron, originally from Alpharetta GA, established Indian Creek Angus in 1995 in Franklin County GA. Dennis, who is a third generation cattlemen, has been working on cattle farms since his youth. Additionally, he is the Broker/Owner of Barron Properties Real Estate Company established in 1989. After purchasing the farm in 1995, Dennis decided to go organic in 2009 and has been raising Certified Naturally Grown Grass Fed Beef for almost ten years now. Denny Barron, Dennis’s oldest son, has been working on the Farm since 1995 and joined the Grass Fed Beef business in 2010. Denny has worked on horse and cattle farms his entire life and provides day-to-day operations for the maintenance, security, and construction of the Farm. Denny is also a licensed real estate agent. Laura Barron McCook, Dennis’s oldest daughter, joined the family business in 2013 after spending many years raising three children as a stay-home mom. Laura, who is also a licensed realtor, handles the phones, emails, and marketing for the company. In recognition of Dennis’s youngest son, Josh Barron, we want to remember Josh, a graduate of the University of Georgia, who grew up on the Farm. Josh had returned home to the Farm after graduating from UGA to join the family business. Josh passed away in 2016 but his spirit lives with us and is represented in our daily actions at the Farm.
