About us
Licking Creek Bend Farm is a Certified Naturally Grown vegetable, fruit, and Christmas-tree farm tucked away in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania. We've been bringing affordable, sustainably grown, and pesticide-free produce to farmer's markets for almost 50 years. Owner and social activist, Michael Tabor, started the farm in 1972 as a diaspora kibbutz. After the city folk retreated back to the city, Michael started farming in earnest and selling at farmer's markets in 1974. With two full-time employees, and as many as four full-time seasonal employees, the farm spans 60 acres, with 30-60% of the fields farmed in rotation each year.
