About us

Melton Design Build is a Boulder, Colorado-based design-build remodeling and custom home company that, in 2023, became the first remodeler in Colorado to earn Certified B Corporation status; in March 2026 the company recertified with a B Impact Score of 94.6 (up from its initial score, and well above both the certification minimum of 80 and the median score of 50.9 among businesses that complete the assessment). The company frames B Corp certification as measuring how it shows up for its team, clients, community, and environment as a whole — including where its materials come from and how its trade partners operate on jobsites — rather than only what it states it values.

Melton's services on existing homes include whole-home remodels, kitchen, bathroom, and basement remodels, home additions, and specialty interior projects, alongside a 'Melton Refresh' line for smaller-scope kitchen and bathroom updates, and it also undertakes custom home and commercial design-build work. The company's charitable initiative, Melton Cares, formally launched in 2024, focuses on improving accessibility, safety, comfort, and community enjoyment through renovation projects in homes and public spaces — in 2025 this included an accessible main-level home renovation in Longmont and accessibility improvements to Bill Bower Park in South Boulder. In that same year, the company also recycled, diverted, or donated more than 16 tons of construction materials for reuse.
