About us

Merill is a social enterprise that brings together a number of local producers, artisans, farmers, and breeders into a rural network. The mission is twofold: on the one hand, Merill strives to promote their sustainable produce, contributing directly to the conservation of the environment and traditions, and to the empowerment of rural communities. On the other hand, Merill encourages rural families to understand the value of rural tourism: thanks to its sister company Malta Rural Tours, the members make available their venues to host alternative experiences revolving around food and targeted both to tourists and local people. What the Merill Rural Network envisions is the creation of a circular economy, where rural tourism supports agriculture and crafts through the diversification of activities.
