About us

Electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming increasingly popular in Nepal due to their many benefits. EVs are more efficient and environmentally friendly than traditional fossil fuel vehicles, emitting less pollution and requiring less maintenance. They also offer lower operating costs, as electricity is cheaper than gasoline or diesel.

The Nepalese government has taken several steps to promote the use of EVs, including offering tax incentives and subsidies for EV buyers and manufacturers, and providing funding for charging infrastructure. In 2021, the government launched the National Electric Mobility Policy, which aims to increase the share of electric vehicles in the country's total vehicle fleet to 20% by 2025.

Several companies are also entering the Nepalese EV market, including international brands like Nissan, Hyundai, and Mahindra, as well as local companies like eScooter Nepal and Yatri Motorcycles. Electric buses and taxis are also being introduced in major cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara, with plans to expand to other cities in the near future.
