MRP Technical Consulting is an independent, specialist air quality and meteorological consultancy based in Perth, Western Australia. Founded by Managing Principal Martin Parsons, a CASANZ-certified air quality practitioner with 25+ years across government and private sectors and hundreds of projects, including projects of state significance. MRP are consulting-only. No laboratories, no technology-vendor ties, and senior practitioners lead every project from scoping through to final delivery. MRP Technical Consulting provide a range of technical air quality services across Australia and internationally, including but not limited to: Air Quality Impact Assessments, Air Quality Management Plans, Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling, Air Quality Monitoring and Testing, Environmental Approvals, and Air Quality Forecasting. Expertise covers dust, odour, air pollutant emissions, greenhouse gas emissions, meteorology, air borne contaminants, and occupational and workplace exposure. We monitor to AS/NZS 3580 and run regulator-accepted models including AERMOD, CALPUFF, SCICHEM, WRF, TAPM and CMAQ. They work with proponents, operators, regulators and development banks across Mining, Oil & Gas, Industrial and Infrastructure. Typically the environmental, approvals or compliance lead responding to an approval condition, a works approval, a licence requirement or a complaint. Clients include BHP, Newmont, Alcoa, Santos, BP, AGL, Alinta, Albemarle, Holcim, Pilbara Ports and Midwest Ports. Named projects include the Fimiston Open Pit (Super Pit) Air Quality Management Plan and the RAC Air Health Monitor. Martin holds the CASANZ Innovation and Excellence in Air Quality Award (Industry Excellence category).
