About us
OEKO-TEX® enables consumers and companies to make responsible decisions that protect our planet for future generations. We consist of 17 independent research and test institutes in Europe and Japan. The member institutes are responsible for the joint development of test methods and limit values which form the basis of the product labels according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN, and OEKO-TEX® LEATHER STANDARD as well as the production site certifications according to STeP by OEKO-TEX® (Sustainable Textile Production) and the chemical management tool OEKO-TEX® DETOX TO ZERO. They are also entitled to carry out the corresponding laboratory tests and site audits. Additional services of the OEKO-TEX® Association are the myOEKO-TEX® database for supply chain management and the OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT certification for the verification of chemicals and auxiliaries.
