1.3B tons of food is wasted every year with 85% of that going un-composted resulting in 8% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions. Peat is simplifying the process of upcycling food scraps major urban markets by hauling food waste from food establishments and turning them into fresh and delicious mushrooms. We work with food establishments, landlords and communities to help them comply with local laws, bolster sustainability efforts and reuse the food waste.
