We are Silk Road Energy, a Georgian investment company that owns, operates and develops hydroelectric plants in Georgia. Based in Tbilisi as part of Silk Road Group we pride ourselves on our innovation, experienced management team and commitment to international business practices.

We have a passion for renewable energy and are dedicated to the long term goal of helping the world get all of its energy needs met through renewable energy. Through our investments, projects and partners we seek to make a significant contribution to both our economy and the world’s transition to low carbon energy. Our mission is to deliver sustainable hydroelectric schemes that provide a climate-friendly energy supply to the local and foreign markets while protecting valuable natural resources and the environment.

Hydroelectric power is the future of Georgia—which has one of the largest undeveloped hydro power potentials in the world—offers us the most energy sustainable and climate friendly use of our natural resources. Our renewable energy supply here and the ability to exploit it via the new high voltage transmission lines to Turkey (and thus Europe) make Georgia, extremely well placed to benefit from the new visionary renewable energy initiatives of the European Union.
