About us

Continuous rainfall since December 17 morning caused flash floods in several areas in Klang Valley.

From December 18, Tzu Chi volunteers have been mobilized to conduct disaster surveys at flood-stricken areas and relief centres, and deliver packed meals, dried food supplies, blankets, clothing, mats, bottled water and other necessities, as well as love and care to the flood victims. So far, Tzu Chi's aid has reached Klang, Shah Alam, Dengkil, Puchong, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Hulu Langat, among other places.

On December 24, Tzu Chi initiated a 3-day clean-up activity, calling upon members of the public to go to hardest-hit Sri Muda in Shah Alam and Taman Sri Nanding in Hulu Langat, to help the victims clean up their homes.

Meanwhile, volunteers in Pahang have also been conducting disaster surveys and extending care to flood victims on the East Coast.

Following the compilation of the victim name list in early January 2022, Tzu Chi has planned for 77 sessions of cash relief distribution for an estimated 16,000 affected families from 58 flood-stricken areas in KL, Selangor and Pahang.
