About us
Wada farms is a premier example of what can be accomplished through hard work and tireless dedication. Originally established in 1943, Wada Farms was founded by Frank Wada who immigrated to the U.S. from Japan in 1922. From the beginning, both Frank and his wife Agnes had a passion for growing the best and most nutritious foods, farming in the fields of San Clemente, California. Following the outbreak of WW II, they moved inland to avoid internment when Japanese Americans were forced to relocate from the west coast. To pursue their love of farming, they decided to settle in Pingree, Idaho, where they put down family roots. Together, they grew their first crop of Idaho potatoes on 160 acres of rented land in the spring of 1943.
