The Tisza River Basin Water Resources Administration (TISZA), within the limits of its powers under the law, ensures the implementation of the state policy in the field of management, use, conservation and reproduction of water resources, development of water management, operation of water bodies, hydraulic structures, state land reclamation systems within the Tisza River basin, and together with executive authorities and other organizations, institutions and enterprises, solves the issues of providing water resources to the population and economic sectors.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of March 30, 1998, No. 391 "On Approval of the Regulation on the State Environmental Monitoring System", the Tisa River Basin Water Resources Administration monitors rivers through the automated information and measurement system (AIMS "Tisa"), determines the content of chemical and radiological pollutants in the surface waters of the region.
