The green technology industry is all kinds of technologies and production processes that are completely environmentally friendly or cause the least damage to the environment. These technologies offer an environmental technology solution that very effectively solves the problems of waste disposal and alternative energy sources. Examples are well-known solar energy, hydro and geothermal energy, biological water treatment, technology for waste disposal and recycling, etc.
You'd be surprised how many companies today are benefiting from green technology business development because it creates incredible opportunities for the environment, business, society, and the economy. A huge benefit for companies in the following three benefits: 1. The first advantage is – Energy savings. Take, for example, the history of Apple, which is headquartered in Cupertino, California. The size of the building is 260,000 meters (64 acres), imagine how expensive it is to maintain electricity in such a building, but Apple found a solution in the form of solar panels, which generate about four million watts of electricity, which allows them to save significantly. 2. The second advantage is – Improved Turnover. Most people in developed countries, when buying products in supermarkets, give preference to those products that have been made in green tech manufacturing. People are even willing to overpay just to be sure of the quality of the product they consume. Companies benefit from this because they draw additional attention to the product and can therefore sell it successfully. 3. The third and most significant advantage is – Reputation. The best experts in their field do not need the money, because they have hundreds of offers, which means they choose the company which is more sympathetic to them. That is why the majority of qualified specialists accept to work only in socially responsible companies, where they know for sure that they are making the world a better place. Economy, Quality, Reputation – the key to business success.
Over the past 20-10 years, green tech companies have made a huge leap forward in the development of technology and humanity as a whole. We want to draw your attention to three outstanding companies and their environmental startups that are truly inspiring to create. 1. Let's start with SolarCity, a subsidiary of Tesla Motors. This company produces small solar power plants that can be installed on the roofs of houses, stores, or offices. In 2016, SolarCity was able to power all the buildings on Taʻū Island, American Samoa, with a population of 600 people, while installing 5,328 solar panels and about 60 high-capacity battery systems. In doing so, SolarCity wants to inspire the whole world to switch to clean energy. 2. A company with the interesting name – Dandelion Energy has the same goal as SolarCity - to provide homes with electricity through renewable energy sources. Only their contribution to this mission is to replace fossil fuel heating and cooling systems with geothermal heat pumps. According to the company, if everyone started using geothermal energy, carbon dioxide emissions could be reduced by 80%, which in turn would save consumers money and health. 3. The third startup in the field of green technology innovations is called -Carbon Engineering. It was founded by a climatologist from Harvard University David Keith in 2009, their headquarters is located in the Canadian town of Squamish. David states that by using a newly discovered spherical molecule that can effectively absorb CO2, you can create technology that will pull carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere at a cost of about $100 per 2200 pounds of CO2. An experimental giant fan installed in Squamish collects air and then directs it to a special machine, where a very complex chemical process involving these spherical molecules takes place. The CO2 can then be disposed of or turned into synthetic fuel, which would be less harmful to the environment. The project is really ambitious and has even received a number of green technology investments from billionaire Bill Gates.
As in any other business, companies are interested only in one thing, in making a profit, green tech business is no exception, even in there are many low-quality products that are not worth their money. If you want to buy a really high-quality product that will please you for many years, then you just need to know what criteria you need to use to determine good green tech companies that will provide you with the product you need. First, you should pay attention to the following criteria: ● The first criterion is – Location. This is a really important point because if you for example need to install a solar panel, it will be most profitable to order it from the closest company or choose the average remoteness of it should be taken into account if you do not want to overpay for shipping and long wait as a trucking company may have various delays on the way to your city or even country. ● The second and very important criterion is – Quality. Never buy a product until you are sure of its quality. Read reviews about the product and the company, compare with your nearest competitor, and do not skimp on quality, even if you have to overpay, it will still be better than after a couple of months to take the product to repair or, worse, to the dump. ● The third criterion is – the Environmental Friendliness of the services provided. In general, almost all green or renewable energy companies comply with the strictest environmental regulations, but if you notice any violations related to the environmental responsibility of the company, it is better to find a company that will be devoid of this essential drawback. By choosing companies based on these three criteria, you will be 99.9% sure that you will get exactly what you need.
