About us

In 2001 Gabon revised its forest laws and recognised the rights of local communities over the forests they depend on. But by March 2018, just 1% of Gabon’s forests were being effectively managed by communities.

We work with local partners to advise, train and support local forests communities on their rights to forest land. We also support local organisations and NGOs by providing access to information on forest governance, natural resource and community rights in Gabon.
