About us
Eco Vida believes we can pass on a better world than we inherited. Our moral compass is directed by the recognition that we have a responsibility to care for the planet and the people who inhabit it. We began working toward sustainability twelve years ago through the simple act of cleaning our home beach and conducting impromptu environmental classes for the children in remote villages. The Eco Vida Non-Profit Organization was formally founded 10 years ago on the idea of helping those who will become tomorrows environmental advocates. Our past work includes activities as varied as building low impact stoves and composting toilets for rural villages, conducting habitat restoration and reforestation projects, organizing habitat studies, and geo mapping activities. We include a short hands-on environmental lesson in each of our events to help inspire the next generation of environmental stewards. It is all part of how we execute an overall environmental management plan incorporating our five on-going programs.
