About us
The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) commissioned the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH to resume project work in an adapted format after it was suspended in mid-August 2021. Specifically, this work involves projects that help to secure people’s basic needs in everyday life. For example, supplies of seed and food parcels so that they can feed their families. Or repairing water pipes so that households have water. GIZ is implementing these and other activities with NGOs. 1.5 million people received access to a reliable supply of clean drinking water.
