About us

Green Alliance was founded in 1991 and is an environmental organization that protects the nature of Korea. We preserve Baekdu-daegan and DMZ, which are major ecological axes, and protect wild animals and their habitats. By monitoring the sites that are accelerating the climate crisis, we envision a world where energy is just, a world free of waste, and a society in which nature and people are in harmony.
Government subsidy 0% It is operated only with the support of citizens.
About 20,000 members across the country make a change to a green life together with the Green Alliance.
Four specialized organizations in education, law, policy, and publication [Green Education Center], [Green Law Center], [Green Society Research Institute], [Small is Beautiful], and 9 regional organizations across the country cooperate.
With an average tenure of ten years of service, 40 activists who are thinking and growing from life to practice.

We emulate the values of respect for life, an ecologically circular society, non-violent peace, and green autonomy.
- Ecosystem Conservation: Prioritizing the principles of conservation and protection and minimizing harm to nature is the only way for nature and humans to coexist.
- Wildlife: Earth's ecosystems are interconnected. When one species disappears, the other species that depended on it are also at risk.
- Living Environment: A movement that changes lives and places of living saves us and the planet.
- Climate Crisis: The Earth's climate goes beyond the level of 'change' and is a 'crisis' situation. Faced with a crisis, we must act now.
- Energy transition: The first action to prevent the climate crisis is energy transition.
- Peace and Ecology: Peace and ecology must go side by side and together.
