About us
In 1996, through the conservationist purposes of its entrepreneurs Rene Silveira and Luiz Carlos Martins, always concerned with promoting a better world for future generations, they created the IBCA - Brazilian Institute for Protection and Consultancy to the Environment, a non-governmental organization focused on conservation and protection of the environment. In this biome, we have the preservation of Fauna, Flora, rivers, their tributaries, associated coastal and marine environment, seeking sustainable development and better quality of human life and biological and cultural diversity of the Atlantic Forest Biome and ecosystems under its influence, stimulating actions to sustainable development, as well as promoting education and knowledge about the Atlantic Forest, Amazonica, Cerrado, among other ecosystems, mobilizing, training and stimulating the exercise of socio-environmental citizenship. The IBCA has developed countless environmental conservation projects, data production, mapping and monitoring of the Biome's forest cover, campaigns, action strategies in the area of public policies, environmental education projects and forest restoration, volunteering, sustainable development, protection and management of ecosystems.
