About us

Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) is a not-for-profit organization conceived in 2001 by a group of environmentally conscious individuals who firmly believed at promoting environmentally sustainable practices at individual, community, institutional and industrial level. IPCA is pioneer in preparing and executing EPR Action Plan for Plastic Waste Management (PWM). IPCA has rich experience in formulating and executing community engagement program as well as developing infrastructure for effective management of waste and air. In the journey of over two decades, IPCA has worked extensively with various stakeholders including waste workers, waste generators and policy makers to develop sustainable supply chain of waste material. IPCA is also working on the project of Air Quality Monitoring and its management, Environmental Education and Awareness, improving life style of waste workers. Adhering to the 15 out of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of UN, IPCA has created a network of more than 30,000 waste workers across 35 States and UTs of India and partnered with academic institutions like TERI SAS, Skill Council of Green Job (SCGJ) to encourage entrepreneurship in solid waste management. IPCA has also established Centre for Excellence in Waste Management & Research in collaboration with TERI SAS.
