About us

The Great Barrier Reef Foundation is solving the most complex and challenging problems facing the survival of the Great Barrier Reef.

The funds we raise are directed at projects with large-scale impact – helping protect coral reefs and the animals that depend on them. Working closely with more than 500 partners, we're regenerating and restoring the Great Barrier Reef and building its resilience in the face of climate change and other major threats.

The Great Barrier Reef Foundation extends its deepest respect and recognition to all Traditional Owners of the Great Barrier Reef and its Catchments as First Nations Peoples holding the hopes, dreams, traditions and cultures of the Reef.
