About us

Zero Waste Switzerland (ZWS) is a non-profit non-governmental institution established in 2015 that aims to guide the population in the long-lasting and significant reduction of waste, by raising awareness on problems connected to waste, by motivating the change of consumer habits and by supporting the active implication of concerned actors and the implementation of a zero waste approach as well as favouring a legislation/regimentation for the reduction of producing waste in Switzerland.
Their vision : A ‘waste’ free Switzerland! The Zero Waste Switzerland Association would like to encourage and enable citizens, institutions and economic parties to choose a manner of consumption and production without waste, by favouring a renewable and circular economy.
Their values: Zero Waste Switzerland believes that it is possible to greatly reduce the total amount of waste we produce as a society by following the principles: Rethink, Reduce, Re-use & Repair and Recycle.
