About us
Aside from making wedding dresses, Tara Lynn also makes natural fiber wearable art jackets dedicated to endangered species. She teaches fashion design classes and worked with Umbrella, a local non profit, helping victims of domestic and sexual violence. After eight years she retired from advocacy and began a fashion show event dedicated to raising money for Umbrella. She did that for three years. Today she is fully focused on her couture fashion, art, finishing building her house, and spending quality time with her husband and smiling dog, Nash. Tara Lynn and her husband Evan moved from Long Island, NY to Sutton, Vermont in 2001. It was an extreme change, from convenience, to survival. A truly valuable life experience as they moved into a small log cabin and began building their dream home. They started with building the garage where Tara Lynn set up shop on the second floor. When clients began coming to Vermont, for custom wedding dresses from all over the US and Canada, Tara Lynn grew out of the shop above the garage. She needed a beautiful space for fittings as well as a larger cutting table. That is when they built her dream studio. Today she has a 1000’sq foot studio flooded with natural light, a 4 yard long cutting table, 12 versatile sewing machines, a beautiful fitting area, private bath room for clients and beautiful woodland views. When clients come for fittings they spend their free time vacationing in Vermont or just hanging out in the yard swimming in the river or hiking the trails thought-out the property. There was a time when Tara Lynn was living in NYC and dreaming of moving to Vermont to start her natural fiber clothing company… today she is living her dream and at the same time may be designing your dream.
