About us

Bioclimatic park is a unique project realized in Slovakia started by volunteers (in 2014) engaged in environment protection and concerned about climate change. The long term focus is to create a demonstration area for nature-based climate change adaptation and mitigation measures in rural land.The area of Bioclimatic park is an example of nature-friendly solutions and measures for the restoration of damaged agricultural landscape in Slovakia. But the most important are the functioning measures for the adapatation to climate change. Such a simple and effective retention of rainwater where it falls. Traditional farming and use of renewable energy sources have led here to local self-sufficiency (off-grid area). Today the Bioclimatic park serves schools, organizations and individuals as a living education and research center.
The Bioclimatic Park is managed by the Civic association Ecoenergy, which was established in 1997.
