GIZ Myanmar implements projects on behalf of the German and other national governments and the European Union.

Despite some progress in areas such as electrification, education and the economy, the pressure for reform remains high. People in rural areas and conflict zones are disproportionately affected by poverty and precarious living conditions. Educational opportunities are limited and there are not enough ways to earn an income.
