About us

Co-founded by partners across the public and private sectors, the Global Plastic Action Partnership (GPAP) harnesses the convening power of the World Economic Forum to bring together governments, businesses and civil society to translate commitments into meaningful action – at both the global and national levels.
GPAP was officially launched in September 2018 during the World Economic Forum's Sustainable Development Impact Summit. Founded by a coalition of public and private partners, it emerges as an ambitious new platform to accelerate the global response to the ballooning plastic pollution crisis. GPAP harnesses the convening power of the World Economic Forum to bring together governments, businesses and civil society to translate commitments into action at both the global and national levels.
